Posters outside eyeglass stores, hardware stores, liquor shops, and elevator doors connected directly to the real-world moments featured in our comics. And Home Depot brochures slipped into the “fix-it” mindset, offering playful how-to guides that made Leatherman the hero of every sticky situation.
